Mumla: A Mumble VoIP Client for Android
Mumla is a free and open source voice chat client for the Mumble VoIP system, available for Android devices. It is a maintained and updated fork of Plumble, and offers several features to enhance the Mumble experience on mobile devices.
One of the key features of Mumla is its support for certificate generation, import, and export, which allows for secure connections to Mumble servers. Additionally, the app offers voice activated transmission, as well as the option to use different Push-to-talk buttons. Mumla also supports Bluetooth headsets, automatic reconnection, and access tokens for secure server access. The app also offers Opus, CELT, and Speex codec support, and Tor support through the Orbot app.
Mumla also includes a text-to-speech feature for messages, which is turned on by default. The app offers both light and dark themes, and users can self-register on the server. Voice activated transmission currently works best when using a headset, and the app recommends tweaking the Detection threshold in the settings for optimal performance.
